well, given BonnieB started this thread in the LADIES FORUM i'm betting she was really looking for the opinions of other female calgunners.......

most women do not like the "c" words, especially when it is directed at them. if his wife is fine with it, she is fine with it. that's between them. personally, i'm hoping he only does this in the throes of passionate night dancing between the sheets. if I heard him refer to her as a "c" word in public i'd think he was a "f" word moron.

but, hey, that's only one woman's opinion agreeing with another woman's opinion in the LADIES FORUM.

to expect that DBoulant wouldn't get a female perspective in the LADIES FORUM regarding his post was simply unrealistic.

That said, my S/O and I use each other's names when we're talking about each other (thus far to my knowledge) in front of other people. Otherwise, usually say "hey love!" when talking to each other. It's reflex at this point.

Personally I've never used the term "wife", simply because I've never been married. I can see how it could be offensive, but I think this is because in the differences of how my G/F and I think. She thinks in the possessive, I think in the statement.
