seems like the wait time varies wildly. I was ready to wait 2-3 months but I got it in about 3 weeks.

Haven't brought any C&R firearms yet but I've been using it as my 2nd POR and for discounts at Brownells and Midway. I'll probably pick up a Mosin if theres any black friday deals.

Credit card charged on September 28, received 03 FFL in mail yesterday. Wonder why such the wide variance in wait times?

Interesting. I sent it on 10/13, CC charged today, 10/16. Now the wait begins.

Ok I have a rather convoluted question and I would appreciate some help with it. Say there are two people

One used to work at a business that had an FFL. That individual was not named on the FFL, but did have a Destructive Device permit in their own name. That person no longer works at that business, but does run a business out of their own home, and is licensed by the city to conduct business in that home. The DD permit has since lapsed. However said business does not (currently) require interaction with firearms. This individual also has a current COE for that address.

The second is a relation of the first, is over 21, and a valid HSC holder, but has no FFLs past or present. Both individuals have completely clean criminal records.

What would be the best process for getting an FFL license and renewing the DD permit for the first individual?

And would it be easier for the second individual to be named on the first's FFL or to pursue their own?

Furthermore, does having the COE and a past DD license make the process easier for the first person?

I apologize for the convoluted nature of the question, but the process is pretty confusing.

I believe I mailed both my COE app and 03 FFL app on 9/14, ATF charge my card on 9/20, I received my COE a couple weeks ago, and I'm still waiting for my FFL. It's been 42 days already.

I hope the upcomming elections are not slowing things down.

I don't know how you pulled it off woodrow.

                              I mailed FFL03 8/23
                              charged 10/29

                              Go figure.
