what do you guys think gun store employees carrying firearms?

Some gun stores I see employees carrying firearms. Any opinions on this?

I see in 12026 that they can via the "possessory" clause. Is this correct?

and the ones you don't see carrying are most likely carrying concealed.
I am not sure what opinion you are looking for.
Do I feel more safe that a well armed gun shop is less likely to get robbed while I am there? Yes.
Does it bother me to see them open carry? No.
Should gun shop personnel be allowed to carry? Absolutely.

Is a gunstore w/unarmed employees a more attractive target to armed robbers than one w/armed ones?

No they should'nt carry when they can just call the cops right.

Gunshops with LOC employees are small enclaves of pure 2A freedom. I can only hope that this freedoms spread to all of society.

I expect to see LOC and it makes me wonder what they are thinking when I don't see LOC.

We have a policy here that ALL emplyees will open carry - we even practice just in case some low life wants to walk in and take what is not theirs.

We are located just two and a half miles from one of the largest HUD housing facilities in OC - populated with the best M13 citizens and illegal crowd you can find. Some have been in and cased the place - video turned over to the Sheriff - we confront them and they have made comments about the large amount of firerarms being worn by everyone.

We also encourage anyone with a CCW to carry into our facility.

I don't require my employees to shoot it out with the bad guys, but they all know about the Gun Stores that have been hit and the employees pistol whipped. It is totally their choice and their right to defend themselves and others from the bad guys. I support their right with extra training and ammunition every day they are here.
              Regards

              Gregg

If you have a problem with employees or, people in general, carrying guns, a gun store probably is not the place you should be shopping in.

It's legal and it's on their own property. Why should I have an opinion?
People don't like to be meddled with. We tell them what to do, what to think, don't run, don't walk. We're in their homes and in their heads and we haven't the right. We're meddlesome.

Here is an opinion - all shop owners selling any goods of any kind should be packing (restaurant, gas station, cheese shop, coffee shop, hardware store, liquor store, culinary shop, gun store, etc.) - one in the open for the BGs to see, and one concealed to pop the puke after they forfeit the open one.

I have never once in my life had any adverse reaction to any firearm that is being handled in a safe manner, with proper muzzle discipline. It is strange when someone has that irrational reaction.

If bank employees LOC'd there would be NO bank robberies... well immensely less anyway.

I carried a gun at a number of jobs.... if your employer is ok with it, then you are good to go.

I had a pistol for the graveyard shift at a coffee shop, and I carried a pistol while working at a motorcycle shop..

I was discrete in both cases....
