    Doesn't 922(z) cover the requirement of a lock? The feds seem more lenient, e.g., if you don't have one on day of delivery the dealer has 10 days to provide one to the transferee.

      For the Feds, any lock will do. There is no requirement to document it. The BATF agent I talked to said that unless they see you transfer a firearm without a lock, they won't do anything.
