Not sure if this is right place to ask this but i recently did a ppt at bullet barn in upland a. Day of pick up i decided to do a transaction for ammo which was a walk in the park and only needed my regular old California drivers license. I go to wal mart the other day to get some range ammo and the guy told me i needed a new California Id an if i wanted to purchase with my current ca drivers license i need a birth certificate is that right?

If your CA ID/DL has "Federal Limits Apply" on the front of it, then you need additional documents per the CA DOJ, such as a certified copy of your birth certificate or a passport (other documents if you were born outside of the USA are possible as well).
