20 mins is far from "immediate" though.. it sounds like it can be variable from 2-20 mins..sort of looks like it requires human intervention on the back end vs automated checks.

It could be the time to notice it perhaps.

As a test, I just ran a standard ($1) eligibility check on myself, and it came back approved in 1 sec.

I was testing early in the morning on the first.
            COE test was instant.
AFS (Standard) was about 60 seconds.
            Basic took 3 hours.

I did a basic around noon today and just checked it now. It was approved in 23 minutes.

I just had a LEO in today. ID but no letter. Ran a standard check and he was rejected. No record in AFS as his only gun was issued by the PD. He opted out of doing the Basic check and left. I said sorry. Bring me a letter and we can hook you up.

Absolute insanity. This state has really gone off the deep end when its a hassle for a cop to buy ammo.

That's pretty good considering. They mush have a weekend **** working OT to manually review them as they're coming in.

That's a bummer. I imagine that there'll be more stories like that, and ultimately, an amendment will be made to the current law to add an LEO exemption.

LEOs should not have any exemptions.

Took about 3’minutes total at local LGS after about 2 minutes of paper work.

Yes, it helps a lot if you use the "QUOTE" function to tell us what you are talking about.

But no, in 2019 there is not a requirement to have a gun in AFS to match the ammo one is buying.
