Some of the firearms are really duplicates with slight differences, such as the color.

Which means, for reasons satisfactory to themselves, the manufacturers of said ~80 chose to renew early.

When I went to SHOT last January, the manufacturer's reps I talked to said to look at the gun company press-release pages on the web; any changes would be announced there, and probably about this time (November).

I recently bought a FN HI-Power MKII from aim surplus. Had the handgun shipped to a SAN Diego FFL. FFL says the gun is not on the roster. AIM says the gun is listed under FN HP-SA/ Steel. Has any San Diego FFLs transfered these guns? If so can I have my pistol shipped to you?

It sounds like you got the PX9109LP which IS the one on the CA DOJ Roster, so you should have no worries.

Do you have a link to the actual model that you purchased?

That number sounds like a Springfield model number.

In looking at AIM surplus, they list a refinished version, which is a problem since changing the color and such makes it not on the certified list (as stupid as that is since it is not a safety issue), yet they say it is ok for CA. If it was a C&R, then it would be ok.
