It's difficult to say one way or the other, but based on my understanding of a compassionate and loving God I believe that He looks for reasons to get us into heaven rather than searches for reasons to keep us out. With that said a close friend of my wife took her own life. She had a history of depression and possibly some other mental disorders and I don't believe she was in her "right mind" when she took her life. It is my belief that my wife and I will see her again in heaven.

        Sorry to hear that.
As a Christian, I tend not to try to "guess" the intentions of God or to project my feeling to indicate what God would do.

My answer to the original question is, only God knows and we will know if and when we get to the gates.
