    Galatians 5:19-21King James Version (KJV)
19 Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness,
20 Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies,
21 Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.

1 Corinthians 3:16-17King James Version (KJV)
16 Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?
17 If any man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy; for the temple of God is holy, which temple ye are.

1 Corinthians 6:19-20King James Version (KJV)
19 What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?
20 For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's.

2 Corinthians 7:1King James Version (KJV)
7 Having therefore these promises, dearly beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God.

    Ephesians 5:29King James Version (KJV)
29 For no man ever yet hated his own flesh; but nourisheth and cherisheth it, even as the Lord the church:

When you sin...you can repent and ask forgivness. You will be forgiven by God, but you will still have to pay. When you kill yourself you can't repent so essentially your screwed.

My question is what happens if you have to kill yourself to save others. Is it a sin? Or are you saving humanity and there absolved of the sin of suicide?

If one committed suicide, they could be leaving behind kids, bills, family.
Is it a sin to abandon your children and in affect, steal money you owe by killing yourself? Are there other sins included in the decision when someone kills themselves.

What if I jump off a tall building (with the intent to kill myself), realize I made a mistake and ask His forgiveness before I hit the ground? Will I be forgive and therefore still go to heaven?

Very good question. I think you could be saved.

              How about....

What if a person commits suicide to avoid a more painful fate, such as those that jumped from the WTC to avoid a fiery death?

Don't you ask for forgiveness before you're saved, and repent after? I thought once you accepted Jesus as your savior, you were forgiven for all sins. Are you saying that He only forgives you if you ask for each and every sin?

So a mass murderer could accept Jesus and go right on killing, yet still be saved?

Most of Christian tradition says that suicide does bar one from heaven.

                    I'm not so sure...

Only with mortal sins will you lose salvation, and we have been given the sacrament of Penance to gain back salvation.

                          btw - what is repenting?

Don't want to turn this into an argument about Catholicism but the sacrament of penance is a Catholic thing, not a Biblical thing.

Repenting actually comes from the original Greek word in the Bible. It's a nautical term. "Metanoya" to turn the other direction.

The Roman Catholic Church says that suicide is a mortal sin. But how does that ideas fair with Non Catholic faiths? Thats the center of the question for me

Go back to the Bible. I'm sure the Pope is a good dude but he's just another guy. Bible is Gods word.
