    Is there Bacon in heaven?

So today at dinner, I was having a conversation with one of my nephews about the here-after.

His mother has a strict no-pork policy (7th day adventist), and though he loves it, he has to pass on the bacon. So he asked me... is there bacon in heaven?

This is a serious question, and I couldn't answer it.

On the one hand, it's specifically no-bueno in scripture... but in heaven... would the same rules apply? Is there even any meat in heaven at all? Are there animals?

If anyone would know about Bacon, it's the Calguns Brain-trust.

I really would love to hear opinions from different denominations... please enlighten me, and I will pass on this thread to the youngling.

I seem to recall that the rules on "unclean" animals were rescinded in the NT....

I'm not sure about bacon in the afterlife but I do have a personal theory on why so many religions have an early belief that pork is bad, therefore prohibited, by multiple religions.

When you eat undercooked or any raw pork products, especially in the early days where they would be getting them from the wild or semi-wild caught there's a likelihood of the people catching trichinosis.

It's the parasite that lives inside wild pork.
Just a theory but you would think in those early days that the head of the tribe or maybe the religious priests may get the first cuts of meat that might not have been cooked thoroughly so the Elite might be even more susceptible of catching it. The seriously ill symptoms can last for months or maybe even years without modern Medical treatment.

" Nausea, diarrhea, vomiting, fatigue, fever, and abdominal discomfort are often the first symptoms of trichinellosis. Headaches, fevers, chills, cough, swelling of the face and eyes, aching joints and muscle pains, itchy skin, diarrhea, or constipation may follow the first symptoms....
For some people with trichinosis, these complications can slowly resolve over six months. In other patients, the complications can persist for years....
In cases of heavy infestation, larvae can migrate to vital organs, causing potentially dangerous, even fatal, complications, including: Myocarditis — an inflammation of the myocardium, the thick muscular layer of your heart."

So after tribe of people finally do make the connection to pork meat and people getting very sick for a prolonged period of time, the royalty and religious folks of that community are probably going to advise strongly that nobody within their group eats pork.

      Ever.

( PS, I heard a rumor that every food in heaven taste exactly like perfectly cooked bacon.)

I thought about it, and kinda took it a bit derailing of topic.

        Is there privacy in Heaven?

I mean, you'll be in God's and Jesus' and apostles/disciples' realm, will there be privacy or will there be an all seeing eye on everyone?

Even if you could pull any food from thin air, if there was an always cctv happening, would you have to avoid Bacon?

Or you might want to rub one or few out, do you do it? Or get in some passionate raunchy sex with one or more partners, is that forbidden?

Is Heaven without privacy really Heaven? (if there is no privacy)

Then Cain should have been the favorite one.

But even God who could not physically eat demanded meat and loved the people that sacrificed meat to him like Abel.

So I think there is meat in Heaven, maybe only Lamb/Sheep, Fish?

Or maybe Manna is the only food in Heaven?

DB> is correct, St Paul made that clear enough. But back to the kids question, how about this, I haven't yet made a trip up there so maybe pray yourself for the answer ?

                  - consider adam and eve before disobeying God. their foods are in the garden and no animals.
                  - once they're fallen, a life must be taken to cloth them.
                  - animals must die to atone for sins.
                  - sins= death (for the wages of sin is death)
                  - in Heaven, everything is perfect and no shedding of blood necesarry. God will provide us food that's "out of this world" that you will not want anything else.
                  - God will restore perfection and all cravings will be satisfied in holiness.

I'd think there would be no sex.. No need for procreation, and marriage vows end when you get to the pearly gates. That makes me sad though... It means I don't get to enjoy Wednesday night business time with Mrs. 2111.

Far too much conjecture. The simple fact is,

                        BACON = HEAVEN

Bacon is not in Heaven, it is Heaven.

Huge clue- Those aren't clouds depicted in artist renditions, they are curls of white bacon fat.

There is only bacon in Heaven. It was prohibited by Moses so the Israelites would appreciate it more once they got there.
