I don't know if this will get to the right people, but I wanted to thank Orange County Sheriff Department.
On late on Sunday night (9/7) my 5 month old son stopped breathing. He had a genetic disorder that caused many birth defects and complications. So we knew something like that could happen, not that you're ever fully prepared for it.
While I started CPR my wife called 911 and OCSD was there quicker then I thought possible. They took over for me then I went out flagged down the paramedics. Where we live in our condo complex isn't the easiest to find.
Once my son was loaded up other cars showed up along the way and did an amazing job of preparing the way for the ambulance to the hospital.
Once at the hospital the two main officers that showed up at my house were very cordial and professional, even stayed till my son was stable. I don't remember their names, just noticed that one had a Glock and the other had a 1911... odd the things you notice in high stress situations.
Sadly my son didn't make it, there were complications when they were prepping him for transport to CHOC. Even so I wanted to say thank you to OCSD for their quick response time and professionalism.
