Question- How hard is it to remove a jumpsuit in your car to full street clothes when you get off duty? Might be the idea now?

Something they shouldn't have to worry about. CO's should at least have a dressing room (even if no lockers).

Technically speaking, I don't believe we are suppose to have spare clothes in our vehicles. A lot of officers undo their jumpsuit top and tie it around their waist so that it's not visible while they are in their car. This doesn't help if you have to stop and get gas though. Also, most of the staff at our prison have a good 30 to 45 min drive each way to work and probably don't want to take anymore time out of their day to have to change yet again.

There's no office or bathroom to get out of the jumpsuit and into a pair of shorts or jeans with the tee shirt on top?

Taking a few more minutes out of your day because of a long commute? How much is your life worth?

There actually is a locker room in the admin building that one could change in if they really wanted too. It's out of the way though and changing would be time consuming before/after your shift. It might be something to look into though with all of the felons getting released early. I don't think that anyone wanted to do this before because there wasn't really any incidents before this that I am aware of.

AB109.......really... Just makes me wonder WTF we risk it 40 hours a week so that Sacramento can save some dough.....and let em out!!

It used to feel good seeing a real scumbag get sentenced for so much time that I would be retired before their eligibility for parole.....After 20 years....they are probably all out now....doing only what they know.

I hate that it takes an incident like this to remind everyone... what's another 15 minutes or so at work if it gives you that extra margin of safety and can make the difference between going home late, or not at all.

That's one tough SOB, takes one to the head and a week later stabilizes.

                        Godspeed old man.
