http://nixle.com/alert/4926526/On Friday evening Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department Captain Carrie Stuart was involved in a serious head-on traffic collision with another vehicle in an unincorporated area in the Santa Clarita Valley. As a result of the 9:30PM collision at San Francisquito Canyon Rd, north of Stator Lane, Captain Stuart and the driver of the other vehicle were hospitalized. Captain Stuart is listed in critical condition and the other driver received moderate injuries. The traffic investigation is being handled by the California Highway Patrol.

Captain Stuart is a 28-year veteran of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, and serves as the unit commander of the Pitchess Detention Center, South Facility in the Santa Clarita Valley. She is 47 years old and lives in Los Angeles County with her four children.
