    Knife carry question?

I would like to carry a couple folding pocket knives on me. One serrated and one plain edge would there be anything prohibiting me from doing this?

I'm not a LEO but I am pretty certain carrying any knife is fine as long as it is 3 inches or below

Generally length does not matter; folders are usually OK but concealed fixed-blades are Bad.

School property is different, some local laws are different. See the Knife Laws link below.

ETA - ah, didn't know that my signature did not appear when posting through my phone. Fixed.

I'm sure you meant the blade length

...but I think you'll find that it is dependent on local/county ordinances. My county does not have a 3" limit, while the best know county that does is San Francisco

Check your county and city ordinances before carrying a long-ish bladed knife, folding or fixed. There is no law on how many you can carry though, as long as they are not concealed... but you might get a few strange looks if you have 4 clips showing on each pants pocket.

Please explain? I don't believe concealing a knife has anything to do with how many you can carry. Am I reading your post wrong?

If the knives are not concealed, you can carry all you want on you. If the knife is concealed, even 1 is a felony.

I would like to know why you think you would you need to have more then one pocket knife on your possession in the first place. If you want one of each then you should get one that has half and half and call it a day.. Having more then one on your for any reason especially for self defense is pointless.

I carry a Kershaw Tanto Blur. It has speed safe assisted Opening, straight edge and Serrated blade.. Great knife, sharp as heck perfect for everything

Maybe he can throw some while running back home to get his gun?

a FIXED blade is illegal to carry concealed, fine to carry open, though it does make some folks nervous. a folder is perfectly fine to carry open or concealed. check with your local codes to see if there are any limits on blade length. and you can carry as many as you want. i always carry two knifes, a large heavy duty blade, and a small fine blade. i use both daily.

A common recommendation for defensive purposes is one for each hand, in case the other is occupied fending off an attacker or otherwise. Many folks than carry another, in a back pocket for general cutting.

That must be incredibly uncomfortable to walk around with 2 knives, 2 guns, 2 flashlights, a wallet, cellphone, keys, smokes, lighter etc..
