local donut shops around here suck, tastes like diesel.

They aren't run by "doughnut culture" people and don't change the fry oil or something.

I think they may be using recycled oil from other restaurant biz.

I love churros. Also love twizzlers. I've started eating donuts though because coworkers are buying them regularly. I really try not to be seen eating them in uniform. I'll finish them in the station.

How can anyone not like a maple bar? Back in the day, there was a 24 hour coffee shop that we always took a break in while on graves. The irony of munching donuts in uniform wasn't lost on us.
