These are people that have failed to integrate into society and succeed at anything legitimate. Thus they decide they are 'above the law' and decide not to recognize any sort of civil authority. I was very relieved that the father / son murderers who killed those officers met the same fate a few hours later and were put down before they could ambush anyone else. I hope that all the B.S. cop hating around here does not translate into any kind of misguided support for this so-called 'movement'. -
From the article (emphasis added)These beliefs look very similar to what some post on Calguns, especially the whole "militarization of police" part....Adherents cite a patchwork of beliefs, including that the U.S. is essentially under martial law, that some U.S. constitutional amendments are invalid, and that dollars have been illegitimate since the U.S. Treasury went off the gold standard during the Great Depression...The thing to do, my friends, is to admit to your fate with Christian resignation and live bravely until your appointed time." - Lee Marvin, "The Spikes Gang"Comment

So? Broken clocks are right once or twice a day (depending on their design).
We are not under martial law, but the militarization of our police is pretty obvious.
These guys are just another militia group with a fancy name.-POLICESTATE,

Perhaps the soveriegn citizen movement could be enlisted to take on the gang problem. We arrest who ever wins.....

On topic, I've talked with a couple of guys in the past couple of years in a non-official capacity who were enamored of the SC movement. That movement is seriously way down the foul line, at least as far as some of the Aryan / WP I've dealt with a time or two.

The so-called 'militarization' of the police is a direct result of incidents such as the North Hollywood, CA bank shoot out where conventional police weaponry and equipment was overpowered by heavily armed bad guys.
Or how about the Miami 1986 shootout where a number of agents were shot and 2 were killed by 2 highly motivated and heavily armed well trained bad guys.
Perhaps some would prefer to see police carrying wheelguns and wearing campaign hats and whistles. Those days are long gone and no officer wants to unnecessarily jeopardize his own safety over the fear of someone not liking the way his uniform and equipment look.
Non LEO's should reserve comments for the OT section.Comment

The way things have gone the last few years, I think we should be More militarized - seek out and destroy enemies and all that... no more kid gloves and no more caving in to those who believe we should be wearing kid gloves among other things hobbling/hampering us...Comment

Wow that sounds intense. Falconis are you on R6 forum also?Comment

R6? No idea what that is. It's actually not that intense. It was always told to me that part of the job is to seek out the bad guys and put them away before they can cause more carnage. Then again, I don't work in Mayberry so not all citizens are up to good at all times. Part of that challenge is also identifying the good honest citizens of your beat and trying to make their lives better by "seeking and neutralizing".
As far as petey bush up there, I would say grow up a little. Bad cops get fired and jailed very often. But like everybody else, you need evidence against them. Not just a hunch or a feeling. If all cops were as bad as you and some people here think they were, do you think anything would ever be found out? Or found out as often as it is. Where do you think the media gets their reports? It's usually from internal documents made public. Just let me know when you wanna pay up and carry the militarization of police banner. Nobody said anyone was better than anyone else petey. seek and destroy probably isn't the best of terms to use on a public forum, but it is still the right message. part of serving the public is doing just what was said when relating to bad people.
As far as unconstitutional policies, it's been hammered here ad nauseum. So I'll tell you what was told to me when I first joined this forum. Try the search button.Comment

PWB is on Ignore but lemme guess - he didn't like what I said... wahhhh...
The 99.999% good people out there don't have to worry about my "hard line" mindset - it's the .0001% who actively (and often repeatedly) attempt to take us out that need to be targeted and neutralized. Btw, those same POSes also have no qualms about victimizing you 99.999% either.
For the ignorant out there not toeing the line, you probably haven't been paying attention to the stats and don't know that POSes are no longer happy just to run away. FYI, more and more, POSes are turning and fighting, attacking, and ambushing. More and more, they are better prepared, trained, and armed. More and more, LEOs are getting killed. That's partially due to society being too soft on crime & criminals and declawing/defanging the sheepdogs protecting the flock.
According to the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Fund http://www.nleomf.org/
For 2011
173 LEOs killed in line of duty (+13% from year before)
68 killed by gunfire (+15% from year before)
First time in 14 years, more LEOs killed by firearms than in traffic accidents
14 during attempted arrests
9 during domestic violence calls
5 ambushes
Firearm related fatalities +70% since 2008
So when a San Diego PD officer gets flagged down and ambushed in his car, when a Fresno officer's house is firebombed 2 nights in a row, when a fricking rocket launcher is recovered on the roof of a building across the street from Hemet PD's station, among SO MANY OTHER similar incidents, I'm gonna stand up on a soap box and declare that we Are at war and it's time to stop playing nice.
And, we go out and do our jobs despite not having the full support of the people we're trying to protect - people who are supposedly intelligent, educated, and decent members of society and who Should know better but somehow don't. People who want to b1tch and complain without ever having done anything remotely similar or made a difference. People who want to tell us how to do our jobs but have never done our jobs and have no real understanding about what our jobs entail. I can live with the fact that a lot of people aren't "part of the solution" - that's fine, just STFU, get out of the way, and let me do my job (so you can go and live your lives with a lesser chance of becoming victimized because I'm out there getting rid of the predators).Last edited by Samuelx; 02-24-2012, 8:09 PM.Comment
