Concealed Carry...ALL the time?

I carry ALL THE TIME. Vacations included.
The VERY minimum would be a five shot Smith and Wesson revolver with one reload and a fullsize Benchmade folder.
Most of the time its a full size pistol with one reload ( and a blade).

I carry with a IWB everytime I walk out the door and sometimes around the house. Anyone that can carry should carry. If not just for the safety of your family or friends how about thinking about my family and friends??

Think about this, you are in the local drug store just picking up a light bulb real quick before you go back home. My wife and kid are at the counter paying for their stuff when a masked man runs in puts a gun to her head. You see this from 12 yards away, you can make that shot you have practiced enough you have a good back drop no issues with taking that shot. You reach for your gun and ...... oops you left it at home because you were just making a quick run to the store. The masked man freaks out pulls the trigger and she is now bleeding on the floor. He runs away and is never caught.

How do you tell me that you are capable of carrying concealed but you didnt and because of that she is extremely hurt or dead. How do you look me in the eye and say sorry I should have I could have . . . but I didnt. I would rather hear sorry I took the shot and missed which changed his priority from her to running away from gun fire.

This is how I think when I leave the house. I wouldnt be able to pick my head up to tell a grieving family member that i didnt do everything possible to save them.

There are many a nightmare scenario and not having a gun is the worst part. I would not intervene in something like a robbery unless lives were going to be lost, especially if I have my family with me. First rule is to be a good witness! If I believe the bad guy is going to cause serious injury or death, then maybe that's different.

About 10 or 12 years ago a young San Bernardino deputy sheriff decided to intervene in a DV situation that unfolded in front of him as he was shopping. He had a 5 shot J frame, the bad guy had a full loaded Glock and more guns in his car. That young deputy got shot multiple times and is very, very lucky to be alive.

Like most people who have responded, if I'm in public, I'm carrying. Years ago I was in church with my wife and for whatever reason she asked me if I was armed. I answered that I was and mentioned that churches are a great target for some deranged person to shoot up. She's never ever had a problem with me being armed at all times but she had never thought about a church being a scene of a shooting. Hell, who would have thought a hair salon would be a place a mass shooting could take place?

I had one friend ask me if he could take his Glock with him when he went scuba diving. I asked him why and he said, "In case a Great White tries to bite me." Does anyone take their gun with them while scuba diving?

The way I always viewed it, is that if I do not carry even off duty, then I am letting my family and my community down. As a LEO, we are trained to deal with situations and confrontations up to and including deadly encounters. I would be ashamed of myself if I were to put myself, my family and or my community in a position where I could have saved even a single life but didn't simply because I didn't feel like carrying. I could not live with myself knowing that I have the training and tools to keep those around me safe but didn't because I chose not to even (i.e.) just that one time that I ran to the gas station for a bag of ice.

I had one friend ask me if he could take his Glock with him when he went scuba diving. I asked him why and he said, "In case a Great White tries to bite me." Does anyone take their gun with them while scuba diving?

You're better off with a knife than an O2 dependent weapon unterwasser. But then again, if you SCUBA, you know that you don't really stand a chance against such a big fish in it's environment; we're too darn slow.

OK I carry every day and it goes on in the morning and comes off at bedtime. I carry a glock 36 in a left hand inside the waist band glock deep cover and I place it in the middle of my back allowing a right hand draw. I drive and work including the tractor with this gun in place I am 5-11 about 170 pounds. This is lambing season and a lot of coyotes as well as the other things that can go wrong. I wear an undertech out with a tie and jacket but always have a weapon on my person.

A bang stick would be the proper thing to use in that situation.

Gun powder doesn't need O2 to burn in the case. Again a bang stick is what is used.
