Personally, I got rid of all my GI mags and went to Magpuls... I prefer the 10/20 style.

We authorize either standard issue metal GI magazines, or Magpul P-mags. We highly recommend the P-mags to our officers. They are slightly bulkier, but are actually less expensive than the GI mags, and do not suffer any feed lip deformation when they hit the deck during speed reloads. I personally recommend the P-mags with the windows to allow you to see how many rounds are left. If you ever get your hands on one, compare the follower of a P-mag to a GI mag. you can easily shove your finger down an empty GI magazine and jam the follower. Not so with a P-mag, since the follower actually rides on small rails. Also, I'm told the interior of the P-mag is designed with a constant curve, unlike the curve, then straight portion of the GI magazine.

Obviously, no 10/20 magazines for duty use, but they do come in 20 and 30 round capacity. I feel that most of what Magpul makes is pretty much hype, but the P-mag is definitely one item I trust enough to recommend my fellow officers to depend on with their life.

10/20 straight body are sought after by people who don't already own 20 round straight bodies and need them or NRA/CMP High Power Service Rifle competition (external dimensions for magazines set in rulebook).

I use standard GI 20 and 30 rounders. I've never touched a Magpul. I wouldn't mind trying out some Magpul 20 round straight body magazines.

I love the Magpul mags. I just have this issue with slapping a metal magazine into the aluminum receiver of my AR. I know it would take a long time to grind away at the mag well to the point of slop, but why contribute when the Magpul plastic mags are ..... plastic.

I have a few Magpul Pmags with the window. They feel great and it cycles smooth.

Riflegear sells 10/20 and 10/30 Pmags for a premium. Magpul also sells clips that goes inside the Pmags to make a regular 30rd mag into a 10/30 mag.

Magpul also recently introduced the Emag. It is similar to the Pmag but it fits on any AR platform, FN Scar, and the ACR. The Emag is slimer because it doesn't have the finger grooves/ribs that the Pmags have. It makes it easier to double stack the mags in a pouch.

Pmags are about $12. Pmags w/window about $15. And Emags are going for about $20.
Riflegear sells 10/20 and 10/30 Pmags for $20, and $25 with the ranger plate.

Ranger plate on a Pmag is helpful for prone or other supportive shooting positions. It also makes grabing the magazine out of the pouches faster during a reload.

Try it out. You won't be dissapointed. The only problem is that you will never go back to your G.I. mags.

Looks like the OP is asking about full capacity 20 or 30 rounders, not modified mags.

Magpul makes 20 rd and 30rd mags. No 10rd.

Troy has polymer mags in the 30rd body size, they come with a standard floor plate as well as a "ranger plate" type floor plate, both are included and I believe you can find 3 packs for about $40.00, They are just a bit slimmer than P-mags and the Troy Battlemags are flush compared to P-mags that are a bit wider at the base. You cannot go wrong with any of the Magpul magazine line though, P mags windowed or not or if your lucky you may be able to find some Magpul E-mags. The Troy Battlemags are great mags too and from what I have seen just a bit cheaper most places, also id prefer Troy mags over the standard USGI types. Magpul has an outstanding track record though and seem to becoming the standard.

Magpuls for the win. I have all sorts of magazines including the overpriced HK ones. For MY money, it'll be the magpuls all day long.
