I agree, pay attention to the show only for "entertainment purposes"
I have watched all episodes. Frankly the acting sucks and I would hope no way in hell the short little guy who used to play "Efrom" makes a believable cop.
I want to smack him every time I see him or he opens his mouth.
And while we are on the subject does anyone see the blond girl as just "eye candy" ?

As a former FTO and 32 year veteran of LE, don't believe anything you see on TV as being real.

As someone who doesn't know crap about law enforcement but who does work on many of those TV shows and movies: don't believe anything you see on TV as being real.

I worked on "Detroit 187" and almost every day we had a retired DPD detective on set as a law enforcement consultant. Really nice guy and had a lot to say about what the directors and writers were getting wrong and what they were doing accurately. Directors rarely, if ever, listened to him.

I can't find the show to watch it, but im going to go out on a limb and say id watch it, to possibly learn something. Obviously I know not everything on tv is true or is the set way to do something, but knowing "I haven't been there, seen that" on everything, I could possibly learn something. I could also see how not to do something.
Ultimately, I think any sort of exposure to your job, as a newb, is a good thing. As long as you can differentiate between right and wrong and use anything you see as a learning opportunity.
