I run an Aimpoint T-1 in a LaRue mount, but if I were to run an EOTech it would be one of the XPS series on a LaRue riser.

We have had quite a few of our older department owned EOTechs go back to the factory due to battery contact related issues. The newer XPS series is supposed to have fixed some of those.

Very interesting! Did RRA give your dept a great offer or were the Colts 20-in uppers phased out for another reason?

Sorry to hijack the thread. I just wish I could have such choices as to which optic to run. Best of luck on your search sir!
Sorry to hear about your pain!! This thread must've grabbed your nerves pretty hard, you waited 1+yr to sound off here!! Hope they'll let you carry your own carbine if you choose. Sounds like I wouldn't bet my goldfish's life on those Mini14s

Those Mini-14's aren't so bad as long as you take your time and you can put them in the center block of the B-27 at 50 yards with no problems. You just have to realize, they will never be as good as an AR-15.

I run a department issue Aimpoint on my M4 at work, and a new EXPS on my personal AR. The EXPS has an integrated riser, so it's plug and play.

I really like EOTechs, but the Aimpoint is dead on 24/7.

As for sights, I run a fixed front and folding rear BUI. Personal preference.
