Traffic and speeding cameras photograph your front license plate.

Not having one gives officers a ready excuse to pull you over.

I recall another pet peeve. The people who park in the red zone, invariably in front of the vehicle code painted on the red curb that also says no parking anytime.

This happens at shopping centers frequently. They are just there for a minute, to recycle their cans, get a newpaper, waiting for their spouse, filling up the water jugs from the machine or whatever excuse they could come up with.

The funniest response I would get was when I would tell them they couldn't park there since it was a fire lane and they would tell me they were not parked because their engine was still on.

I was reminded of this because I just left the local store and sure enough, there was a inconsiderate jerk parked by the curb evidently waiting for someone to exit the store. He made it difficult for everyone else who had to drive around him or wait for someone to drive by so they could pass him.

Don't you mean 15+ UNDER the limit?

LOL, okay I have to share this with you guys.

          I was a bad boy.

LEO said he could tell my reg and insurance was paid and current, but since I couldn't prove it...

Surprised no LEO's said headlights out, or driving with the brights on to "hide" it.

A lot of what was listed above-- I also get irritated when people speed past me on the freeway. Seems like a lot of peeps think only CHP tickets on the freeway. They are wrong

Ask me how many DUIs get found on those two violations.

Those can't be a pet peeve. They are opportunities to get drunks off the road.

I always looked at that as an admission of guilt, heh.

The only pet peeve I can think of that hasn't been mentioned was when I'd make a traffic stop, and the driver would hand me his or her (usually her) Driver License with a law enforcement business card taped to the back. When asked, it was always their "friend" or family member...

I could always tell it wasn't a cop's wife since the registration wasn't blocked... so it just seemed like a "get out of jail free" attempt.

My standard response was to ask for cell # of the name on the business card so I could call them, advise them of the situation, and see how they felt I should proceed. 80% of the drivers didn't know their cop "friend's" cell and always got a cite and their DL returned without the business card... the other 20% had their "friend" called up... who would then tell me to cite the driver and confiscate the business card.

                    Mine???

Traveling, driving w/ weed, smoking it, w/ a prop 215 card. It clearly says only to be used at home, Only to be transported from a dispensitory, to your home....

Why do you have a 215 card??? "I was diagnosed with flatuclance." WTF???? or the "bad" back, yet he is snowboarding for 10 hours.

I know there are some who truely need and use it properly, but I have yet to encounter one.
