    Photo Enforcement Ticket

    Question for the LEA/LEOs:

If I have been issued a red light camera ticket, do I have the ability to watch the video? Or is the ticket just on still camera shots?

Some have video, others it's just multiple still images. Talk to the agency that handles the camera. If you decide to take it to trial, you have the right to review the pictures as evidence.

....Like the reply above. Some intersections have video camera. The way you can tell is if there's a small glass dome on a pole all by itself....
Also your citation should state that there is an option for you to review the video.

The question is why you have license plates on your car.

I'll take a fixer ticket anyday over a redlight ticket...........

Smile smilie or not, please do not come on the leo forum and advocate breaking the law (i.e. not putting plates on one's vehicle).

A little OT but I could swear that the yellow lights in the Beverly hills area that are camera enforced are shorter than others in the area that aren't..

What about those polarizing license plate covers that let you see the plate with your eyes but blank it out when you hold a camera to it? Legal?

Then the camera would not take your photo and you would not get a citation in the mail......

I've seen some camera companies also allow you to see the recorded movement of your vehicle by logging on to their websites. Then you can't really say you didn't do it.

Check out " highwayrobbery" on the internet, it has very useful info. I read it a few times and fought my red light ticket and won! Hope this helps.

This is how you wind up talking to a cop, who asks, "Do you have anything illegal in the car..."

One of my coworkers got a red light camera ticket recently. Total cost was $650 which he pleaded down to $450. The price is really extortionate considering there was no accident, injury, property damage, simply no victim at all.

well you could drive with a racing helmet on and if you ran one they would have no way of indentifing you since they have no proof who ran it. since there is no picture to match you CDL photo.
