Well, a funny thing happened on the day of scheduled surgery....and actually it wasn't really funny. The surgery was cancelled and rescheduled for May 10. I screwed up. I know, hard to believe, here I am, an administrator on the premier 2nd Amendment/Firearm website in Ca. and I did it. I forgot I was supposed to stop taking my 81mg aspirin. I remembered this after taking it Sunday morning, like I had for the previous 3 mornings after my Wed. pre op visit. That's childrens' aspirin, but it's also for older people for their heart. It's a Nsaid and also a blood thinner.

My dr. said it was too big of a risk to have the surgery and since I prefer to wake up after it I agreed to the postponement. This now gives me another 10 days to stress out about being cut in my back for the 5th time, this time around T8 where the leads will be placed.

In all seriousness, I really appreciate the good lucks and the prayers you were giving me and sincerely ask that you do it one more time on Friday the 10th of May. You'd think after 20 surgeries I'd get used to this, but I'm actually pretty nervous about it. Take care all.

Pre-surgery anticipation is a b--ch, but have a delay whether hours or days just compounds it, at least for me.

Again, the best to you and yours.
