You see, there are people that take the dues they paid to get to their current units (Military and LE) very seriously. In the process they lost friends and have seen crap that would make a goat puke. Having some millennial come and ask if he and a buddy can go 10-8 because they only have one car and are roomies is F^&*%ing insulting.
I take the dues I paid to get where I am very seriously. I have worked hard to get where I am. But having someone come in and ask an innocent question isn't insulting in the least. You take yourself way to seriously. Lighten up.

Me and my friend are thinking about joining LAPD together and since we are going live together for prob the first year (Seperate rooms of course... I mean if anybody ever thinks..m..we are firemen...no).
Apperantly people have never seen "Chuck and Larry" and no before your panties get even more twisted

For all those people who find it more convenient to bother you with their question rather than to Google it for themselves.

OP has been answered and at this point this thread should probably be closed. Buttttt since it's not all I can say is...

We have some SALTY DOGS on Calguns lol. I feel bad for those who take life and the job so seriously. And that's coming from a millennial, who has served in the military and has had several combat deployments (Lost multiple friends) and has been serving as an LEO for past several years.

OP and anyone interested in LEO, if you do eventually become an LEO, don't ever lose yourself or your ability to laugh to this job. The day I take the job so seriously that I no longer smile or laugh at life is the day I turn in my badge. With the amount of evil, hatred, pain, and sadness we see on calls there is no room for that within ourselves. That is how cops become Salty, grumpy, and disliked by people. I've also noticed that the "Mr. Law" style cops are usually the ones who escalate situations into use of force when simply talking to the subject in a respectful manner could have calmed the subject. I was talking to a fellow LEO (different department) at the jail this weekend and all i could think of after my interaction was "No wonder people hate us."

We are notorious for being the toughest crowd. Even worse then asking cops a question, is trying to teach a class full of them.......

To bring this all back on topic, i worked as an EMT in Orange County for about 4 years. One day me and two other 'buddies' i worked with decided to go to the academy together. All three of us made it through near the top of the class and are all successful in our respective departments. We all went in as self sponsors so we ended up at different agencies, but nonetheless, i found it beneficial to be going through the process and the hardships with people i knew.
