My wife answers many of my complaints about daily life in California with,
"Well, maybe we should just move to another state"...
After the requisite look of disdain,
I remind her that we have traveled to literally every state in the union and couldn't find/afford to have what we have here.
We lived in Phoenix during our first Master's program, when it hadn't yet devolved into the LA basin with ridiculous weather.
God bless and Godspeed to those who move away, but my ocean-view and mild weather is unmatched by every other state except Hawaii.
Hawaii's gun laws, for the most part, are even worse...
Take a few illegals with you when you go, please...
