It came out about a month ago in an officer safety brief so a deputy took out his peerless cuffs in briefing and managed to break them exactly as shown in the video.

Yeah, in my above post I said I saw it with smith and peerless cuffs. That was back in the 70's when we only had films, not video. That was one of the reasons the companies started making the high security cuffs that eliminated the small chain links.

I only carried mainly peerless standard cuffs but have a couple of pair of smith cuffs. Never had anyone break either brand. I liked the peerless because they weren't as stiff as the smith cuffs. I have a set of smith cuffs that was issued to my father in the early 50's. They have always been stiff.
