      What does your comment have to do with the CHP hiring?

      That statement is true for all other departments in the US.

          I'm not offended. And Yes I'm A Chippy. Just confused about your statement regarding a hiring thread.

          I've worked in different organizations to know that the higher you promote, the more political the position gets. Fed Government, Military, PD, SO and Corporate.

                CHP helicopter air assets are the best pilots I've ever flown with, and I was Navy helicopter aircrew many years ago. 110% pro.

                    Well, application accepted. I have recieved notice to appear for testing and will be doing the first two rounds this weekend. I have filled out the next stage of paperwork to hand in with my written test.

                      Lotsa luck pal. Shiny side up, rubber side down. The most important thing to remember in your CHP career is to never eat barbeque in a tan uniform.

                        I thought it was to go your whole career and never write a report for a crime involving a PC (as opposed to a VC)?

                          Nah, PC or VC didn't matter..... we avoided them all. But that darned barbeque sauce.....................
