Yes, but you get paid very well to go to school. If you are single, its a great deal. If you are married with kids, I can see that being a little difficult to handle. 6 months is a very short period of time in one's life.

LOL. I joke. I have plenty of friend in the CHP organization and there is plenty of room for advancement and special details. Just like any other agency you put your dues in and work hard and move forward.
