I was allowed to pin my son's badge to his uniform during his graduation last January. One of the proudest moments of my life. In his 5th month on the job, loving every minute of it.

Congrats to you and your daughter, enjoy the moment.

I will bring her a Glock 19 Gen 4 as a gift. It is consecutively serialized to my 19. She will have one, and I will have one.

      I think it is cool.

Congrats to your daughter and to you for doing a fine job of raising her. I know it is tough when they are far away. Believe me, she is better off out of CA. I left about this time last year and don't regret it one bit. Our move put us closer to our daughter who left the country a few months ago. Thank God for Skype! I am sure you are like us and are very proud of our kids. And to you, I can say, retirement is great! She will cherish her gift and hopefully will pass it on to her kids. Law Enforcement is not what it is when we got in it back in the mid-eighty's and as long as decisions are not emotional based, the new troops will be fine.
Looking to acquire a Marlin 336 Texan. Hit me up if you are contemplating getting rid of one.

It is official now. She is an officer.

One interesting thing is that her certificate was issued by the state's POST (Peace Officers Standards and Training), not STC (Standards & Training for Corrections) like California. I wonder how it differs from California.

Anyways, hope she has a good career.
