Yeah, my hourly rate was $12.93. I was happy to have been hired though, so no complaining.

You are a good man for BTW for saving your dog.

My first paycheck went to beer and italian sausages, I had a party! It wasn't much back then but I was happy to have it. Now, it still isn't much after paying union dues, medical, vision, retirement, supplemental disability insurance, deferred comp, retainer for an attorney (just in case), and taxes! It ain't much but I'm glad to have a job and in August it will be 20 years!

And I looked, and behold a pale horse and his name that sat on him was Death, and Hell followed with him.

        Congratulations.

My countdown to the retirement ended yesterday after 29 years of service credit, but I decided to stay for maybe another 6 months, but no more than a year. I will reset the timer.

My daughter just informed me that the other girl in her class failed a subject test twice, and she was washed out. Now, my daughter is the only girl in the class. She said her class dropped 6 so far out of 41 in week 5.

          Hmmm..

She just finished 9th week. And, she was sprayed with OC today.

She said it was not too bad. So the video she sent me, and she was doing good controlling a subject. It reminds me of my time with OC.

Oh, memories.. I was exposed to many different types of chemical weapons, but OC was the worst in my opinion.

She sounds like she is doing great! I personally HATE OC and have yet to use it on anything other than a few dogs.

I had a chance to use it near the water, and the bad guy jumped into water after he got sprayed. It had almost no effect on him.

In her 11th week this week. She was qualifying with a rifle. She said her agency was qualifying with a H&K G36 rifles. Nice..

She passed shooting several positions. Not bad for shooting a rifle for the first time.

One of the targets. Just like her dad. :-)

Nice target. Looks like Dad taught her well.

I wish her the best of luck. I am sure you taught her well, but remind her not to be the duck that gets downed. Have her login (department validated) to Correctionsone.com.

My daughter always wants to come to work with me... I don't want her to do the same thing as her dad. She needs to cure cancer or teach. I commend you for being so supportive.

She said the academy staff said I can present the certificate at the graduation. I will be there in my class A with my badge bright and shine. :-)

She is finally graduating this week. She got her badge issued along with the official id card.

She said she outshot many boys in the class. Some boys who tried to "help" her shooting were not saying anything. :-)

Couple of LTs from different units are trying to grab her for their unit.. Maybe it is a good thing...

I will be in my class A at the graduation to present her the certificate. I love it!!!!
