I'm with you. No ring = no long term plans like this. at this point her commitment to her agency is more long term than her boyfriend's commitment to her everything will probably be fine. But system set up for failure & sadness. My cheap 2 cents not knowing any of the people involved.

Well, she started the academy today. She said it was not too bad. She said the instructors call her "So Cal"..

She is one of two girls in the academy out of 40. Maybe she can prove to the boys that she has what it take to finish the POST academy.

She said today that in the middle of the first week, they lost 4 people. They started with 41, 1 no show, lost 4 so far. Now they have 36.

Well, why would they drop out? Maybe they were not physically fit.

My academy class in 1986 started with 80, and 63 graduated.

Best of luck to your daughter!

IIRC, my class started 109 and graduated 91 - but then again, we got water breaks during PT in my academy... lol

                      Thank you, and I tried.

Her training schedule is 4/40, so she will have her first weekend starting from tomorrow.

Congrats to your daughter. When I got my first LEO paycheck, my first thought was how little I was making.

My first paycheck for 2 weeks was about $750 net pay.. All went to the vet to save my dog who went to the emergency room and intensive care. He survived and I was happy for him...
