Every single person on my street shoots. We go out as a neighborhood and shoot. We tell each other about the new guns we buy.

    It is like heaven.
I did some satellite imagery sleuthing when he moved out to the ranch. Or bought the ranch, I should say. Looks like a canyon north of Emmett. He moved out there as soon as they passed the AWB in Washington, can't blame him.

Sept. 1, 2022 we packed the camper trailer and started the drive to our new home on 70 acres in Kentucky. Two months later we were hunting deer, coyotes and squirrels on our property. (KY requires 30 days to become residents for hunting and fishing licenses). The second day here, I holstered a 40 and went shopping at Walmart.

Last year I walked into a gun store and 20 minutes later walked out with a new gun.

That's my part of town, so I'm very familiar with it. How much north are we talking? Is it still IN Emmett?
Welcome to OT, where hypocrisy is King, outrage is Queen and the Kingdom is on the shores of the Denial River.

Not in the city limits. I guess I should have bookmarked it, because now I don't remember exactly. I think I found some of the buildings from YouTube videos. Maybe up by Seven Springs Ranch? I just thought it was cool, since my daughter is in Emmett.

Sounds awesome, except all the socializing with neighbors part. I don't like neighbors feeling they can just drop by.

              Worth reading.......

Idaho is the only state where blacks earn more than whites, and their income tops that of other races and ethnic groups, a new study finds.

I am going to join stakill in rejecting your comment about it being a problem if you are not white and Christian in Idaho. While we are white, I have no idea if stakill is a Christian. That never came up when we met. What I can say is that we are gun people and if you are anti 2A, which I assume that you are not because you are on this forum, that is a BIG PROBLEM! So, being a Democrat is also a big problem for me. They can stay the hell out of Idaho!

Edit I did not see CessnaDriver's post when I replied. But his post is more evidence that you are incorrect and that what makes the most difference in Idaho is holding conservative values. So again, libtards stay out!

Sad that they moved this. This should have stayed in the OT for encouragement to those who don't know what is outside of California.
I am sure many haters who hate to see the joy outside of California complained about the thread

Of course, the gun situation is day and night. No CCW necessary. Carry what you want, where you want. Buy ammo online or at the store and take it to the counter yourself. Buy any handgun you want and walk out with it in 20 minutes. Take the ridiculous fins and muzzlebrakes off your AR15s. I just bought a suppessor. Every single person on my street owns guns and shoots. We get together as a neighborhood and everyone talks guns, even the wives. Garandthumb lives just up the street from me. I can literally go shooting across the street. The state sponsors shooting ranges. They want you to shoot. Also, I have never seen so many gunstores in one area in all my life. I can think of 15 just off the top of my head. I used to belong to a great shooting range (West End Gun Club). It was about $340ish a year. My current club is $45. That is practically free. Instead of battling the 91 and 15 freeways for 1-2 hours, I drive along the Payette River for 40 minutes. I don't even go the speed limit it is so beautiful. Why rush?

But, it is not just the guns that are better. I told my wife when we first got here, "We didn't move to Idaho, we moved to 1950." People here are decent. There is no homeless. Actually, I saw one bum / homeless (I hate that term). The cops made her move. People let you in when you drive. No one honks at you. I have not honked once in an entire year. I drive down the street in my neighborhood, and people wave at me. It freaked me out at first. Now, I do it too. People here seem happy. If you go 5 mph over the speed limit, a sheriff will pull you over. Laws are not just a suggestion here. There is no graffiti. Almost everthing here is less expensive, except food (its the same). Gas is over a $1 a gallon cheaper. My auto insurance decreased by over 50%, my electricity bill is 1/4 of what it was before. When they told me my property tax and home insurance cost, I just giggled. It is thousands of dollars less expensive.

If you are tired of being targeted by the communists in Lucifornia, I highly recommend escaping. Life is short. Throughout history, people have fled evil regimes for freedom and lived happier lives.

If you decide to come here, vote RED. Actually, please vote dark red, burgundy maroon so we keep it that way.
Thank you so very much for sharing. I have been working on my move out of California for some time now. My vote will always be extra dark red for sure, wherever I go! ???????

Because we that have moved from communism have to actively prevent what happened in Kalifornia from happening in our new community. We lost Kalifornia because we just voted instead of actively participating. The left actively participates. That's how they win.

The other day at a stop light, it turned green and the guy ahead of me didn't go. My old CA self would have hit the horn. I didn't do that. I just sat there. He finally went. Around here, you just cut the next guy a little more slack. It is contagious.
CA and everything it represents is indeed a disease. We really need to give it our best efforts so as to prevent it from infecting the rest of the nation.

How disgusting... I see the outcomes of that type of mentality as incentives to actually becoming a gang member and a drug addict. Sort of like when a mother rewards her child when it cries...it only teaches the child to cry even more when it wants a reward. That way, giving it privileged status, they are actually encouraging crime, not discouraging it. Welcome to California!
