The DMV and completely severing ties with Kali is my next project. I have all the paperwork lined up already. Just need to get the needed docs to send into the Kali DMV.
What paperwork are you intending to send to Kali DMV and why? Isn't a NV DL and NV plates and registrations sufficient?

From what I've seen posted here and have been told by a relative that workes at AAA, there is a specific form that has to be sent in directly to the Cali DMV to remove your vehicle from their system. I was also told it can be done on their website but it's not working for me. Go figure.

I have also been told that states don't always communicate with each other about change of registration/address issues.

        Congrats OP!

I sent the DMV form 14, copies of new registrations, new driver licenses and proof of residence (utility bills), and a signed affidavit that we were no longer CA residents.

Never heard from them in 5 months.

I’ve been on NV Shooters for a few years. It can be slow compared to CG but I like most of the people there.

Has the "thirty round dump" become a tradition for expats when they arrive at their new states?

we escaped to Reno area a year ago. Couldnt be happier. First few visits to local gun shops were overwhelming. Didnt realize how many guns Commiefornia said I couldnt have.

I vividly remember crossing over from California to Arizona. There was a billboard from an Arizona ammo distributor that said "Welcome to freedom" Arizona Ammo Company.

The feeling of California in the rear view mirror was a life changing moment for us. Congratulations.

It was a surreal feeling, and a sense of relief knowing everything buried deep in the U-haul was now legal.

I took notes from one of your posts. One of my buddies just landed in Billings last night and asked me what he needed to send to keep the FTB off his back.
