I fully expect the finalized regs to establishing some new form of SBR - the pistol brace sbr or some other sillyness. Just like the last round of RAWs in CA - the stupid BB-RAW horse pucky.

I also suspect that they will deny amnesty registration if it 'simply' has a brace on it. You'll also need to have a pic that demonstrates enough 'points' to qualify it as whatever this madeup sbr term will be. So basically you'll have attempted and amnesty reg and they won't deny you until the amnesty period is closed.

In other words...expect shenanigans!

And this is based on what? IMO kali is the only place stupid enough to do such things. It seems like most kalis expect everyone else to do things the kali way, whereas it's usually the opposite. I've never seen the AFT create a new class of firearm. When they banned Streetsweeper shotguns, was there a new "evil NFA shotgun" type created? The Streetsweeper was banned in 1994 under Clinton Administration. The deadline was in 2001, under Dubya. Even the liberals were somewhat respectful of laws and protocols back then. Now we have an administration that will use the FBI to ransack the homes of their political opposition. I would not be surprised if their AFT would pull CA-DOJ type of 2017 moves.

There is no chance the NFA goes away. Besides the anti-gunners, you've got people with millions of dollars sunk into machine guns. Don't think that wealthy and influential people in the gun industry, like that are going to let their investments go up in smoke so easily.

The USSC has taken down Roe v Wade. The NFA is even less entrenched in the minds of modern society. If they were willing to overturn abortion, it’s not inconceivable.

Apples and oranges. There was never an abortion "right". The NFA is law, as a result of a bill passed by congress and signed by POTUS.
