Finally leave CA

Congratulations, brother! I'm moving to Oregon in the next two weeks. I'm gonna buy a PSA AKV 9mm with short barrel and either a brace or a stock. And maybe a CZ Shadow 2. I've had about enough of California and I'm voting with my feet. -
You probably won't collect too many knowing you can have what-ever you want!
I had this discussion with one of my friends, if you sell everything here and buy over again in a free state what would you buy?
- ar15 unmolested
- sig p365xl
- keep the ultralight beretta o/u
He owns many guns and that's only what he wanted!Comment

Congratulations man! Must be nice to finally move to a state that's not overpriced as far as property costs go AND you can buy whatever your heart desires when it comes to guns lol. Idk about selling my whole collection and starting over, if it were me I would probably keep most thing I have and just add more but to each their ownI’ve been in San Diego for the last 13 years. After a year of preparation I’m getting ready to move my family to the great state of Maine. Sold my home all my furniture and all but one handgun. I’m excited just purchased a beautiful home in Maine twice the size of my home is SD only a few years old with 2 acres of land. So excited I sold my guns here to start a new collection from scratch. Think I’m gonna start with a IWI Galil Ace Gen 2 in 7.62x39. I’d love a Sig Vertus in 300BLK too. I’ll miss the year round good weather in CA but not all the crime growing cost of living and awful politics. Looking forward to constitutional carry too.

Congrats and good luck with your relocation! Maine is beautiful. Clutch move on selling all your furnishings. We did the same. Bought new for the new house. Really cut down on stuff we had to move.
Be sure and drop on by the ex-pats subforum.Comment

Wait till you see what's available in a free(er) state. I sold a ton of stuff before I left the PRK and used the dough to buy lots of new stuff
In my first few months I picked up A Scorpion, A 6.5 Creedmoor M1A, Sig 365, Ruger PCC, G-40MOS, Remington Tac-13, Aero M-4 in .300 BLK, Sig Rattler in .300 BLK and maybe half a dozen AR receivers.
Oh and did I mention silencers? SBR's and lots of standard cap magazines too!
It's Candyland in the free world.

Congratulations on your move. SD is beautiful, but the politics have been changing there as well. Son loves his job down there along with the DIL's family being in the area, but they are looking to get out before their son starts kindergarten. Ironic he complains that the weather never changes."Good intentions will always be pleaded for every assumption of authority. It is hardly too strong to say that the Constitution was made to guard the people against the dangers of good intentions. There are men in all ages who mean to govern well, but they mean to govern. They promise to be good masters, but they mean to be masters." -Daniel WebsterComment

Yes you can have 2 C&R 03 FFL's; 1 in California and 1 in a different state.
