I miss the comraderie/Brotherhood of Flight Platoon.
There was a bond that just could not be shared by any who did not experience the thrill & fear of heading into LZ's with our hair on fire. We were tight.
We were actually elitest bastards and didn't usually hang-out with any other groups. We wore our Nomex flight suits & low slung S&W's like badges of honor even when not flying.
I still miss it - I'd do it again, in a heart-beat, if I could.
