Can you have "relations" with another recruit in basic training?

When I was in USAF basic in 1979 we were allowed to go for an evening of leave on base. Our training instructor told us not to come back with "stinky pinky".

@Sikvenum93: I knew someone who got in trouble for that, but that was USAF and back when W. Bush was still in charge. Wasn't a deal breaker though.

@anothergunnut: Didn't hear about leave in the aforementioned case. Just 2 cadets failing at being sneaky.

I think he's just talking about going to the base rec. center for a couple hrs. towards the end of basic. and you're always in uniform, so no PDA.
But, I could be wrong.

Men and women in close quarters will always find a way to have "relations".

I never heard of leave during Basic and AIT unless there was a holiday/xmas involved. There is the mythical HRAP program for the Army in which you get 2 weeks of recruiter assisting/vacationing. Ive only heard of it tho , i dont know anyone who got it

Not sure if things changed, but the only leave I'm aware of is Holiday Block Leave (HBL). IET and other TRADOC schools (not about ALL schools) have a leave period if the school spans through Christmas and New Years.

It's covered under TR350-6, which I haven't looked at in ages.

I was at Ft. Benning, for IBOLC, during this period and, yes, they made all go somewhere else other than school for two weeks.

Yes but you risk exposure to an Article 15 Hearing, court marshal, and/or other non-judicial punishment.

You did not offend me, I was surprised that any branch of service would give "Leave" during basic (especially in 79). I went through basic in 89 and we got zero days off. We got to go to religious service on Sunday morning's for a short period of time, but that was it. I also had zero contact with any females. I guess things are different in the AF.

I presume this might have happened while in AIT, and not so much in BCT.

Two sets of couples married while I was in AIT. They had to meet a chaplain and everything. There were wearing the same name tag before we even graduated.

The hilarious thing is one of the females was previously engaged to a guy from BCT, and dumped him and then married a guy in AIT.

They are young, but I got to think, as the dumped guy gets older I hope he comes to the realization that he's the the lucky one.
