Can you have "relations" with another recruit in basic training?

My landlady's son recently finished basic and came back for three days with his brand new gf who also just graduated from basic.
How is this possible?? Did they sneak around? Or is this allowed? He graduated from Ft. Jackson BTW if that helps.

      Haha, what a boot!

No, it's not allowed... at least in the Navy, any recruit-to-recruit contact was grounds for separation. Idiots still fell in love though... and some found opportunities to sneak into the laundry room at night.

Well they seemed pretty serious. The landlady said her son didn't have a gf before and he said they met there. They're in the army BTW.

I was in a co-ed division in navy boot. There was rampant nonsense going on. We were only separated when we racked out. Girl-girl, guy-girl... It's a New Navy. Boot camp was a letdown.

If they just graduated basic they would have been shipped straight to AIT...

I can't imagine what Co-Ed basic must be like.

Well he came back home. Is AIT considered part of Basic? I was under the impression that it wasn't. He's a 36B(finance tech).

Who cares about her son. The question is: Did you eat her "soup" yet?

BCT, AIT & OSUT fall under IET - Initial Entry Training.

Fraternizing of any kind during IET is strictly prohibited under TRADOC rules/regs. Enforcement by DS's and Cadre is something very different. Your are not supposed to fraternize or engage in that type of relationship-type conduct until you are considered "permanent party" which happens after you get out of AIT and PCS to your first duty station.

Well he's not gay, he's in the army and he isn't a citizen. So I'm not sure how that works.
