Just weeks ago, a girl intentionally rammed her car into a parade killing 4 people and injuring 22. That is more dead and more injured than this freak did in this latest shooting incident.

However, at the time, Obama neither commented on the event, did not give any dissertations on the issue of mental-healthcare in this country and calling for solutions, did not address limiting those with mental-health issues or being suicidal from getting behind the wheel of a vehicle, did not discuss addressing safety and preventative measures to protect people wherever crowds congregate (which has been a relevant topic-since the Boston Marathon bombings and very relevant now since the incident in Paris weeks ago) - among other possible topic matters that he could have plied publicly using that event as a diving board.

HOWEVER... since it did not fit his agenda of unrelated matters and it could not be used to propel hyperbole to fit a need for curtailing civil rights of the People... he made no significant comments at all.

Sick of this bastard.

Its never about saving lives with these people, as you stated it is all about pushing their views on others and getting their way. if those on the anti freedom side really wanted to help people we would have nation wide constitutional carry by now.

You are forgetting that it's only a few states that see it this way, even if those states contain some large cities.

Outside CA/NY and few satellite states gun rights are expanding.

I'm kinda surprised at Hilary. Thought she would learn from the harsh lessons her hubby learned. He often stated not to demonize gun owners and warned the Assault Weapons ban is what cost the Congress. Guess she just can't help herself, statism is a disease.

She is calculating that "the times have changed." For example, both Clintons were against same sex marriage, but wouldn't even think about being that way today. Similarly, Hillary's calculation is that the "gun culture" is on its way out.

All the polls and statistics point out to increased understanding of the "2A is an individual right" and larger acceptance of "gun is a tool of self defense." We see it all the time in other states. Let's hope Clinton's calculation is wrong and ours is right.

Some may take offense to the idea that Louisiana (The state with the highest murder by gun rate by far) is not civilized. They just elected a democrat who had no business winning that election. Chris, I hate to agree with you, EVER, but you are absolutely correct. ALL the presidential candidates, Republican and Democrat, are promising change that can only Congress can deliver with the passage of law. Obama pissed off much of his far left base by not being able to keep most all of his promises because, only congress could. hell he couldn't deliver on much of his platform even with Democratic control of both the House and the Senate!

He'll probably try to push through universal background checks. After a couple years, and no decrease in mass shootings, the new mantra will be "It's time we finally pass SOME kind of reasonable, common sense gun controls for once!", and gun registration will be the thing that "finally puts an end" to crazy people killing people.
