New question: What if a buddy invited me to go shooting with him and I don't have firearms or ammo but he'll provide both. Then afterwards I give him cash to compensate for the cost of ammo I used. Is that okay or is that a crime under the new law? Sorry if this has been asked but I am not able to rearch the entire thread.

What if he shares his ammo and guns with you?

What if, on the way home, you buy gas and lunch? Maybe pay him for his time and tutelage.

      Good friends.

Was just at WalMart. They refused to sell to the guy in front of me because his DL had FLA and he needed secondary ID.
They refused to take his valid and current military ID because it wasn't on the "list" of approved documents. Is just Walmart been stupid or they legit can't take a federal issue military ID as secondary document? Seems stupid.

Dude you are way overthinking it. The DoJ doesn't have drones with surveillance looking at you 24/7.

                Yes
Everyone on Calguns keeps talking about TDS. I never knew we had so many fish keepers!

The TDS on my 10gallon tanks 110ppm
The TDS on my 29 gallon tank is 150ppm (due to substrate)

You don’t have to be a U.S. citizen to enlist in the military and get an ID card. Non-citizens do need to be lawful permanent residents (Green Card), and that is the source document required.

Right, I know non citizen can join the military, but AFAIK, but you gotta be a legal resident aka green card holder to join.

"In order for a non-citizen to enlist in the military, they must first be a legal immigrant (with a green card), permanently residing in the United States."

So if you got an military ID, you are at least a green card holder.. right?

Do you really think that a clerk at Walmart will understand that a green card is a condition precedent to being issued a military ID? They are just pushing paper (or filing in a screen on a point of sale terminal).

Yes I waited until the last minute and can't find info about flying into Ca as a non resident with ammo.
I'm flying into So Cal tomorrow and I'm not a CA resident anymore. I've flown with firearms and ammo many times with no problems.
But with the new ammo laws, can I fly into CA with ammo?

Sorry for the delayed response, maybe this might help somebody else from out of state flying in with guns and ammo.

Flew in from Austin to Long Beach with 2 locked gun cases, one with 2 glock 27s and the other with ammo and loaded mags all in the same checked bag.

I had no problems at all, very smooth. Just announced that I had a firearm at check in, filled out all forms, then over to TSA bag check where the guy asked if I had the keys to the lock boxes and if firearms where unloaded, he never even looked.

So thanks everyone for the quick replies.

I have searched but was unable to find the answer to my question. If I sell ammunition to someone out of state am I in any way affected by the latest CA ammunition sales laws?
