I received an incomplete email regarding my CZ Scorpion. They stated they want pictures of the caliber markings but I can't find any on the firearm. Are the markings there in a spot I can't find? Can I just resubmit with a comment "no caliber markings on this firearm"

Mine has caliber markings on the bolt. I took pics with a closed bolt so caliber markings showed.Comment

Here is a photo that submitted to them. the features that I picked are flash supressor and folding/telescoping stock
I also have a issue with my MP5 Clone that they additional characteristics that classify this firearm as an assault weapon. I did not clicked Additional Firearm Characteristics selected since it does not have any of those like flash supressor, folding telescoping stock
As far as the MP5 clone goes, is it a pistol or a rifle? If it's a pistol, all 4 characteristics should be checked. If a rifle, maybe you did not click "pistol grip" either?sigpic

Your AR definitely has a pistol grip. Did you click the box? Don't confuse "vertical forward grip" with "pistol grip".

Some applications are getting approved. Those folks stop participating.
Other applications remain in an In Progress state. There is not much that those applicants can do about the endless waiting. Any attempt to rock the boat risks their application(s) getting put at the bottom of the stack.Comment

I submitted two rifles at the deadline - like an hour or two before.
One got kicked back -
Thank you for submitting your application. Based on the information provided, the caliber for this firearm is stamped as .223/5.56mm. Please change the caliber listed on your application to "Firearm with interchangeable barrels," which is the option for .223/5.56mm caliber firearms on the application. Refer to California Code of Regulations, title 11, section 5474(b) for more information
Anyone else get this error?
BTW - the other rifle submitted at the same time hasn't triggered any error.Anyone press will hear the fat lady sing.

Does the receiver of your firearm say "Multi"? That's what they want people to select for firearms without any specific caliber markings.Comment

There is a choice for 5.56 and another choice for 223 so they consider that two different and distinct calibers even though there is only one choice of 7.62x51-7.62x39-7.62x54-they consider those all the same-good luck shooting them all with the same barrel. That's the bumbling bureaucrat for you. Did you choose both 223 and 5.56, ya it is not possible, the form only lets you pick one. They want you to pick both......
Since your receiver like mine said 5.56/.223 (or .223/5.56) you can not choose both as caliber so the bureaucrats mind freezes and shakes and smokes so to prevent an explosion where their brains come out they have decided because of the markings on your receiver it is firearm with interchangeable barrels even though you will shoot the DOJ defined two separate and distinct calibers of 5.56mm and 0.223" from the same barrel.
Just go and try to figure the brain of the bureaucrat and have yourself stroke trying to figure their logic due to their poor foundation work in setting things up.

Also I was thinking we should start and over and under pool.
We each chip in a dollar and pick a date when this registration thing is finally done.
Whoever is the closest wins the jack pot.
I pick June 16, 2054 based on a calculation of their current rate of approvals and how many more to go-assumed as a linear function of time..Comment
