My concern is that, in light of recent reports of DOJ field visits for "compliance verification", you might get an unwanted visitor if it isn't completely clear to them that your stock is pinned.
I had no idea we were supposed to show how my folding stocks are pinned! I sent no pictures of the blocking mechanisms either, but it would be interesting if CA DOJ would ever visit me in NV to ensure they are still CA compliant.

As I explained in my dual resident thread, many of mine are now out of state, I just want to keep my future options open. The guns have stayed CA compliant just because I have other free state versions that I prefer to shoot.

There is no requirement to show proof of pinned stock unless they come back and ask for a clear picture of it. I submitted multiple rifles with pinned stocks and did not have to take close-ups of any of them. I put in the comments that the stocks were pinned and do not fold and it was enough for them. I think maybe one was kicked back, but I reiterated what I had said in comments and then it was accepted.

Indeed, not required at all, it's more of a timesaving measure to proactively include such a photo. A couple months ago I'd have recommended sending DOJ the bare minimum and let them come back and ask you for more if they want it, but we're kind of running low on time at this point and we'd all ideally like to get our apps settled before the deadline so we don't develop blood pressure issues.
Settle down, folks. The new "ghost gun" regulations probably don't do what you think they do.

At this point the hest plan is to submit the best photos you possibly can, that show everything they could ever possibly ask about, and make dang sure the info in your app is spotless.

Might even want to submit each gun as a separate $15 app so if they do have questions about any of them it won't hold up the rest. More expensive certainly, but that's the cost of procrastinating

I just received word back from CFARS concerning my applications. They are asking for additional photos of my Vepr's make and model because " the make and model are not clearly visible". I made sure that the photos of the sides of my receiver were clear so I'm not exactly sure what the problem is except that the gun is in Russian. Has anyone else had trouble with their Vepr that could give me some advice?

P.S. if it helps, based on the advice of this thread I registered as Make: VYATSKIE POLYANY Model: MOLOT VEPR 308
I attached the photo of the make and model i submitted as the optional image

Looks like you have a 90's Vepr written in Cyrillic, they can't read it. Is there any other place that is marked in English? If not, you have to explain to them it's in Russian and translate it for them in the comments. Is there another photo of the importers mark you could send in as well?

For instance, tell them Benpb = Vepr.

The first part that reads "Сделано в России" translates to "Made in Russia"
The second part reads "Вепрь-308" translates to "VEPR-308"

Maybe register it as "Made in Russia" if there is such an entry?
                  Then the model is VEPR-308.

Question, though, would this gun meet ATF's marking requirements? The one that says the make and model has to be engraved so-so inches deep, etc?

That's how all Vepr's before about 10 years ago came in, they are all legal. Early ones were through Robinson Arms in the 90's and early 2000's. There were various importers that kept the Russian markings.

That is good to know, thank-you for the translations. While there are several made in options, Russia is not one of them. I did put down Russia as country of origin

Somewhere I think there had to be the importers mark.

I registered two as separate transactions. My WASR 10 was registered first and I got the "submission" e-mail on the 2nd of May. Today I received my registration letter but it only has the WASR 10. So my plain jane AR was not processed. Now I just received the "submission" e-mail for my AR so I assume I will be getting another letter with both the WASR and the AR on it.

It really sucks that we had to register but I wanted to be compliant with the law. I can always buy another featureless rifle.

Arrrgh. This website is driving me crazy. I am trying to register a CMMG lower version of AR10. The caliber marking on the lower is 7.62mm. DOJ keeps telling me to select 7.62mm but "7.62mm" is not a selection that I see on their pulldown. I did pick the very long "7.62x39... 7.62x51, 7.62x54R, 7.62x35" entry which contains 7.62x51. Can somebody please tell me what I am doing wrong?

Their heads do explode, that has to be entered as "firearm with interchangeable barrels". If you submit one or the other they will kick it back and tell you to put that.
