This is to answer the question of doing multiple individual registrations versus one big one. If they do partial registering that's great but if everyone who has at least one rejected rifle gets all of the rifles on that registration rejected then that's bad and would point towards just spending the $15 for each rifle since that's a fraction of the $500=$1500 cost for each rifle. I would hate to save $60 only to have five of my rifles with a $4000 value confiscated by the goon squad.

So unless I hear a definitive answer from anyone that has received an acceptance email while other rifles were still in limbo/under review on the same registration I know I will be doing allot of individual ones.
Sorry, I don't have a definitive answer. I do know that they withhold the registration letter until ALL of the rifles from that batch have been registered, but I don't know what happens if some are registered and some aren't when the deadline hits. Presumably they'll honor them all once they all get approved, but short of DOJ telling us that's the case, I'd err on the side of caution.
Settle down, folks. The new "ghost gun" regulations probably don't do what you think they do.

I’m doing all of mine separate. An extra $15 per expensive gun is nothing compared to potential headaches of one of them holding everything up.

As someone who's had all of mine held up for 50 days now because of one of them, I wholeheartedly agree. Wish I'd broken them up. I still have one more batch to do and I'll be doing them all separately.

Does anyone know if it's possible to remove a gun from an application that has multiple guns, or it's only possible to edit the application and can't remove a gun? Let's say if I want to move one of the guns into a separate application.

I added that part after submitting my app

              Live and learn!

That was the cost of NOT waiting til the last minute, we hadn't quite learned all the little tricks yet.

So if I register, I keep all my “evil features” and keep my BB?

Is the only scary factor, that they can say we ban all AW? Or is it being on another list scary?

I posted yesterday my troubles using the Microsoft Edge web browser to complete a multiple firearm application.

In my frustration, I sent a well-composed email to the DOJ. Not sure if its good to poke the bear, but they should know their system is messed up. I left my name, my issues, my contact info, etc. Basically letting them know their web application sucks, but in a professional way.

Got a phone message today. They blew me off and left the generic CFARS phone number that goes into a phone tree system that nobody answers. No name was left and no follow up to my email. So, zero help with the issue.

Glad I was able to complete the application using a different browser. Its almost like they want the system to be hard to use and confusing.

Well I am trying to register up 21 AR's and I just received additional information requests on all.

How should I answer these 2 different question??
#1 DOJ..."you have entered the out of state dealership name and address, please update with the California dealership information. This would be the place you picked up your firearm"

When I lived out of stated I purchased the AR's and at the time of moving back to California in 2006 there was no requirement for registering long guns with DOJ. What should I do???

#2 DOJ..."Please verify the date entered in "Date Acquired" is correct..."

Truthfully I have no clue what year I bought all of them, except they are all prior to 2015. What should I do????

                    Thanks!!!

I should have stated 5 were purchased when I lived in another State, all others were purchased in California.

For #1 since you are pre Jan 2014 just state in the comments section that you picked up the firearm at an FFL out of state in compliance with all state and Federal requirements and that you lawfully brought the rifle into CA in 2006 prior to the registration requirement. It appears from reading many threads that its when there is no explanation for something abnormal that you get the rejection and adding and explanation helps ... usually.

For #2 it is only critical for Jan 1 2014 date or after. If you can not contact the FFL you purchased from for this info or recreate from your financial records then best guesstimate. They can not prove otherwise. On your hard copy print out of your CRIS put down in writing that for the date of purchase you put could not be found and that you did attempt to contact the FFL and reviewed your financial records and it was your best honest guess on acquired date. Do not add this to your registration-just your printed out CRIS copy that you save as that would be an abnormality that they may want to expand upon. Since they can not prove otherwise and it is your best honest attempt to comply you should be good to go as I read that's what other have done successfully and what I have done (hopefully it will be successful).

had my 'you will be notified by mail' email 5/5. No mail yet (5/18). Anyone else see this kind of delay or might it be lost in the mail?

Did you only register one gun? If so, then I don't know what the delay is.

If you registered more than one, then it's likely that some (but not all) of them have been approved. You should get as many of those emails as the number of guns you registered. They won't mail the letter out until ALL the firearms you registered have been approved/processed.

                                Yes; just one.

Logged into their website and it still says In Progress but I believe I read in the thread that is normal.
