I believe Wayne LaPierre did make some remarks to that effect after one of the mass shootings earlier this year. I guess he is not allowed to express an opinion.
But for those who might be somewhat confused, the people who actually tried to outlaw certain of your video games, i.e. CA democrats, are your enemy. Not the NRA."Did I say "republic?" By God, yes, I said "republic!" Long live the glorious republic of the United States of America. Damn democracy. It is a fraudulent term used, often by ignorant persons but no less often by intellectual fakers, to describe an infamous mixture of socialism, miscegenation, graft, confiscation of property and denial of personal rights to individuals whose virtuous principles make them offensive." - Westbrook PeglerComment

Sounds like we just need to get separate groups against individual legislators. Like a anti-de leon group. Just go to the separate groups and point out how this guy wants to screw them and then join together against the individual legislator. It will be easier because most people only care about their issues and refrain from joining political groups.sigpicComment

Problem with his is that there are too many extremists on all sides who wouldn't sign up for anything like this. Compromise has become a dirty word these days.Wise men seldom speak. - ArcusComment

That is what I am saying. Most of us are part of many groups who are attacked by the same politicians but when I ask most people why they ***** and don't vote, they say they are out numbered which is not true.Sounds like we just need to get separate groups against individual legislators. The anti freedom and anti fun groups best weapon is telling you that your vote doesn't count. We would need to target seats that are not a lock first.https://www.facebook.com/pages/Union...70812799700206

Keep voting or being forced to choose politicians who are the same age as your moms and dads (or even the age of your grandparents), you get laws created from mom's and dad's POV.
Can't change anything until our generation starts getting into politics ourselves. What we need is a politician from our own generation, one who grew up playing Nintendo as we all did and went through the same teenage/college/adulthood phase as we did. Sad to say, I don't see that happening for at least another 10 years.Last edited by CZ man in LA; 09-16-2014, 11:26 PM."Prohibit the peasants from owning katanas, wakizashis, arrows, spears, or matchlock rifles. I sent a note to the EFF (Electronic Freedom Foundation), pointing them to this thread. This is not an issue central to their purpose, but this is a sign of support for the concept.
Organization is key.
Their response:
Thanks for contacting the EFF!
That is indeed a great idea, and we work with coalitions all the time. For instance, when we launched the airship over the NSA Utah Data Center, we did it in partnership with Greenpeace and the Tenth Amendment Center.
We would be more than happy to explore opportunities for collaboration with this group. Please feel free to get in touch with us, if there is an issue you believe would be perfect for us. Do keep in mind that in order to remain an effective organization, we get involved with limited issues that impact our civil liberties in the digital realm.
It is heartening to know that you and other people are thinking of ways that we can all work together!
PS: Calguns is one of our clients in a case against the NSA!
Thanks,

Great idea and thinking out of the party boxes.
You are right about the same hacks creating a myriad of laws to strangle our freedom.
It is harder now to start a business in California or enter a profession than at any other time in American history. To get a real estate finance license they actually have a net worth requirement for example. Every year more laws are piled on to protect vested interests and restrict the people.
The same hacks banning lead ammo are restricting access to public land for off roading in favor of energy companies.
I do not wind surf, or scuba dive, or mine gold but I know I share common sense values with people who do things like that, in terms of wanting more freedom and less government regulation. Drive the Nanny State politicians from Sac ...we all know who they are.Last edited by Warrior King; 09-17-2014, 4:02 PM.sigpicComment

That is what I am envisioning. We need to find some anti gun politicians who are not shoo-ins in their district in this non presidential election. Non presidential elections are know to have very low turn outs and are much easier to influence, when the elections are held at the same time as the presidential elections, there is a high turn out.Great idea and thinking out of the party boxes.

Once we find these people who are antis and running in a non safe district, we have our members here contact other organizations who they may be members of that have been negativly affected by said politician and tell them we need to put on a full court press to get the word out to vote against that person.
Don't bother trying to convince them to agree with any of your views such as guns. Focus on their issue and your common desire to oust that politician and explain that we have a chance at getting them out if we get the word out.
If we can get anyone of these politicians out of office, we will send them and the others in office a letter stating that the anti gun stance got this ball rolling and there is more to come.
I think the key is not trying to convince anyone of your views. Word it as we have a common enemy and we need to vote on our core beliefs. We all have been hurt by this person and this is the chance to get back at them.
This movement should not have a face or core issue, that drives people away, make your conversation about their issue and getting the politician out who hurt THEM.
Now, who are are targets? Who do we have the best chance of ousting?https://www.facebook.com/pages/Union...70812799700206

Uniting the Groups
Please feel free to send me a PM on this matter; I'd be happy to facilitate positive change in this direction. Letter writing, phone calls, putting together a rally even, a massive BBQ perhaps somewhere. It's so important.
Hope you're well otherwise.
Best,
