This crap pisses me off! You guys need to work on your PR and rhetoric. Instead of saying "You guys haven't spent any time or money on this issue", how about saying. "We need your help. Please do X and Y and that will help a lot"

I know I'm just the dumb end of the spear and you're the sharp end, but we need each other.

I hate it. It will never change.

Here's an older SFGate article on it: http://www.sfgate.com/politics/artic...et-2775914.php

It actually wasn't a "gut and amend" it was a new bill...Had he left the word agricultural or water in it it could be construed as "gut and amend" but it wasn't...It was a NEW BILL.

He missed the deadline of Jan 28 to properly submit it...

Q: Why couldn't he have waited until next session to introduce it? Is he termed out? Lame duck legislation?

I called his office challenging them to provide ANY message, e-mail, letter, fax or any othere communication from ANY CONSITIUANT that requests this legislation as a response to a problem. He is an elected "Representative". This Personal Legislation MUST be stopped.

I called my Senator, a liberal Dem who supported this but will not vote on it again because of the issues I raised.

Add in the death of the Brown Act, regular suspension of Senate and Assembly Rules and I submit...

WE SHOULD NO LONGER ACKNOWLEDGE THEIR AUTHORITY.

I feel sorry for the people in his district. The Agricultural bill was actually a good water bill that would have helped his constituants

          Par for the course.

On the one hand I hope it passes. - This could be great ammo for a lawsuit that will topple this CA gun law house of cards. Or this could be the straw that breaks the gun owning camels back. There could be a rebellion, at the polls or in the street.

          Yea, right.

On the other hand, I hope it doesn't pass. But it doesn't really matter - people are spineless cowards who will simply turn in there guns with a little *****ing and moaning. As long as there is beer and the Kardashians are on TV all is well with California.

And if it ever does get to court the law will be upheld.

Then they'll come for the mini-14's, mini-30's and M1As. SKS? They'll take those too.

The unstoppable stupidity that is California.

Bit by bit, little by little we will be disarmed. What then? To little, to late.

Que? LOL At first I thought it was the suggested defense when the Gestapo, er DOJ goes around collecting rifles..."No hablo ingles. Solamente espanol."

But I pulled out my elusive 2 year spanish class neurons from high school and figured it out. LOL

I understand that and I have never once said I would commit a felony. I just implied I wouldn't turn them in. There are many other legal avenues to take in a situation like this and my comment didn't cover any of them. I will never openly talk about what I may or may not do on an open forum like this.
Lol I'm down for a boating trip

If rimfire firearms are exempt from AW laws, would a .22 upper installed on an OLL receiver be cool? How about a .22 conversion kit installed in a conventional 5.56 upper?

Maybe a group fishing trip with a tragic loss of firearms is due...

Seems like this is just another political prosecution like in WWII when Japanese Americans were put into concentration camps, Mexican Repatriation 1929-1939 were Mexican Americans were deported without due process...

What has this state and country come to? Sacramento can't just say the 2nd Amendment does not apply to our constitution.

This SB249 should stop here. Mr. Yee

This is why I didn't buy an AR15 for many years because after I saw you could get one I thought to myself, why top load an AR15.
