One of my Sacramento Customers called me today to let me know that our local State Senator Ted Gaines(R) hasn't received any calls about the bill and that it isn't on his radar screen. Sacramento has a ton of Calgunners and for what it's worth, they all need to call their local state politicians as well.
Anyone else calling the local state guys here to complain about SB249??

Well, we as a people cant just sit here behind our computers hoping and praying the CGF will save us. It is BEYOND time for Protest. Sitting here complaining to each other does nothing to inform the would-be gun owners of the situation they face. Threats and talk from inside the walls never won many battles sir , and i too am hoping and praying for the CGF and the NRA , but imo, it's up to each of us to have our Voice be heard, to be seen, and to fight for our own rights.Last edited by SocomM4; 08-03-2012, 12:47 AM.Originally posted by TeddyBallgamemaybe I'm wrong, but, if a $50.00 investment can help me a bit, i'll just have to go a day without the hookers and blow to cover itOriginally posted by ir0nclash86I would wipe it off for the simple fact of not wanting to get sprayed in the face with it during the first few rounds.Originally posted by Ride MadoneIt does not matter. An AR is the very best and safest weapon to use for home defence.Comment

Post #1988 above. Yee is asking to create a specific definition of what a detachable magazine is, which in conjunction with a BB [featured] rifle, makes 'em all illegal.Comment

I don't know if this has been mentioned before, but we may have another weapon in our arsenal- our sheriffs. Now I know that people like Baca would love to see our guns destroyed, but at least half, and maybe the majority of the sheriffs in this state are somewhat pro gun and would view this as crossing the line. I say we start flooding our sheriffs' mailboxes with mail. Think about it- if a coalition of county sheriffs came out in opposition to this bill it would have a profound impact on the legislators- probably the only people they would actually listen to. Let's get our sheriffs on our side. In fact, we should post every county sheriff's office contact info on the first page of this thread. Seriously, it's time to pull every trick and tap every resource we can. There's no holding back now.Comment

Can we go to this meeting to ask questions/voice our concerns? If we could get a tactical list of questions/concerns together, id go up their in my full business suit and ask them in a respectful manner.
I just want to ask what they plan on doing with the hundreds of thousands of instant criminals they are creating.-- I love the mythological significance given to Dum Dum Bullets. As if they're little tactical nukes, stacked up in "Assault Clips" ready to be "sprayfired" "from the hip" by pistol grip equipped "bullet hoses" instead of early variations of the softpoint bullets people have been using to take game with (and use for self-defense) for the last century.Comment

The better question is where does the state plan on getting the money to compensate the 1,000,000 rifles that are out there.Originally posted by barrageThat's because Excelsior threads are like toilet bowls. They're made for crapping in and occasionally pissing on the side of.Comment

Asking that question will fall on deaf ears because in their mind you are already a criminal that has found a loophole. They will say that you will have ample time to turn in your guns and avoid being a criminal.

I thought that the revision to the bill will term our BB'd rifles as a nuisance, meaning that they can take them without compensation?NRA Certified Metallic Cartridge Reloading Instructor, Shotgun Instructor and Range Safety Officer
