What am I prepared to do about it? I have converted many women to target shooting one of whom has a CCW and quite a number of anti gun people as well. Thats one thing I have done, and I am moving out of this state the first chance I get. I can't stand this place. I can't wait to see this the whole state collapse under itself and turn into detroit 2.0. This state needs to crash and burn before anything will ever be truly fixed. For god sakes people think you need a license for pepper spray in this state, PEPPER SPRAY! Let it all burn, then they will learn. Most of the gun people in California I have had the displeasure of meeting on the ranges are real FUD snobs to new shooters that are not their children or grandchildren, writing people off like my friend cameron as a pothead hippy liberal. Some of the old geezers gun snobs are just as bad as the anti-gunners. Can't wait for both of those breeds to die off. This whole state is a lost cause. You all can try to fight this thing. I really hope you win. You have my support, though I really think this is all futile. Good luck. I had to get that off my chest.

Why not just stay in CA and wait for Ron Paul to fix everything?

Are all the local gun clubs getting notified?

I used to be a member at Escondido Fish & Game and 'news' like this was never effectively communicated. If an official bulletin came out from the NRA, that might be covered during the monthly meetings.

We'll need the support of everyone, even the old timers.

i just wish that the NRA would pick up some sort of support for us. i know they work on a federal level but just to see CA even consider this, it would be a loss for them.... other states might use what happens here as a template that would make their fight that much harder......

in all honesty, watching this thread from the beginning, what are the chances of this making it all the way.

Pro-gun. I'm also a proponent of responsible legal advice. In my opinion the bullet button is playing with fire, with or without the proposed legislation. The argument for bullet buttons is based on an interpretation of the statute and regulations as currently drafted that may or may not be correct; if the interpretation is not correct, bullet button rifles with prohibited features are not legal now and never have been. That being said you can't deny the momentum and successful defense of the handful of cases where there have been arrests.

I never thought CGF took this lightly and Jason's analysis was fairly accurate in what was being attempted. Yee and company just figured out a way to make it a whole bunch more specific.

Felony or misdemeanor, this bill was dangerous in any scenario as it attempts a taking of personal property.

I wonder if we could get some support on this from the various manufacturers who send BB equipped rifles to this state. Wouldn't this make them guilty of some crime, not to mention hurting sales? Where is S&W, Colt, etc.?
