Sacramento LTC holders: No carry signs now listed on LTC?

Sometimes the law defends plunder and participates in it. Sometimes the law places the whole apparatus of judges, police, prisons and gendarmes at the service of the plunderers, and treats the victim -- when he defends himself -- as a criminal. Bastiat

False is the idea of utility that sacrifices a thousand real advantages for one imaginary or trifling inconvenience; that would take fire from men because it burns, and water because one may drown in it; that has no remedy for evils except destruction. The laws that forbid the carrying of arms are laws of such a nature. They disarm only those who are neither inclined nor determined to commit crimes.

Just about every mall has a "code of conduct" sign posted somewhere and I've yet to see one that doesn't specifically state "no weapons" which would include a firearm.OCSD Approved CCW Instructor

Playing devil's advocate here, I would have to agree with lawaia here.
If the permit specifically states it is invalid in posted locations, it's like not having a permit at all.LASD Retired

Agreed. I saw the statement on the website prior to getting my permit, but it isn't listed as a restriction on my permit, nor have I heard of anyone else with it listed on their actual permit. The only restriction I've actually seen is the "not valid if consuming alcohol or remaining at any establishment that primarily serves alcohol."Here is a policy from a couple of years ago that has the not where signs prohibit language.
I'll believe the restriction when I see it on a permit. I can't tell you how many times I have heard that the SO was doing this or that only to find it totally untrue. Rumors fly fast.
Have you actually seen a permit with that restriction? I'm not being a wise guy, I'm honestly curious.
Standing by to see if they plan to start adding this restriction on the face of the permit.Comment

Legally speaking, the only time your permit is "invalid" is when you're violating a restriction on your license.(a) A license issued pursuant to this article may include
any reasonable restrictions or conditions that the issuing authority
deems warranted, including restrictions as to the time, place,
manner, and circumstances under which the licensee may carry a
pistol, revolver, or other firearm capable of being concealed upon
the person.
(b) Any restrictions imposed pursuant to subdivision (a) shall be
indicated on any license issued.

This entire issue is simple to me.
Do not support any business or establishment that has the requirement of disarmament before entering.... That includes Cordova Shooting Center.Originally posted by BannedinBritainThe only dumb question is the one you don't ask...and get arrested for later.Comment
