    Am I "Insane".

Over the years many things have been done that while they seemed like work at first, they turned out to be alot of fun and a great time.

For example, the coordinated efforts between Pink Pistols and Calguns which resulted in us running "Pro Gun self-defense" contingents in the middle of the San Francisco Gay Pride Parades(2009,2010,2011) and last year for the first time in both the Long Beach and West Hollywood Gay pride parades resulted in us unexpectedly getting "cheered" rather than "jeered" by what we anticipated as potentially "hostile crowds".

Going to the Federal court cases has been fun, especially watching the other side choke in orals on their "arguments".

Going up and watching our state legislature in action was such a joy, felt like the preverbial mouse with it's finger up in the last great act of DEFIANCE.

Maybe I just enjoy getting in the face of my opponents too much, they all seem to scurry away like little cockroaches when a light is shined on them.

I am making this post because it is a "new year" and according to the Mayans, it may be our last, so in light of the word ending this December, I say that we should commit to having alot of fun this year tweeking our opponents while keeping our sense of humor.

    After all, why sooooooo serious?

Not sure where the "Insane" part comes in??? All seems pretty legit and normal to me.

re. the Mayan thing: If they could tell the future worth a darn, wouldn't they have known the Spanish were coming to wipe them out???

They couldn't tell the future, they just knew that a major, world-changing event would come on December 12th, 2012.

Nicki, questioning your sanity is pretty normal in this crazy world. What you have to watch out for are people who say "I AM SANE!", there is a clinical term for those people: bonkers.

In my amateur opinion I diagnose you as differently saned.

The general rule that I learned was, "If you have to ask if you're insane, you most definitely are."

The corollary is not true, however. Most insane individuals have no idea just how absolutely insane they are.

                      I hope it helps!

Off topic, and probably way too serious for this thread, but my understanding is that the Mayans were big into cycles. Little cycles, medium cycles, and really HUGE cycles like the one that's now ending. But the beauty of cycles is that when one ends, another one begins immediately.

Western minds tend to linear thought, so they see the "end" of the Mayan calendar and they think "Oh, it's the end." However, I suspect the Mayans looked at it, nodded solemnly, and said, "And now we do it all over again."

                            Or maybe it's aliens.

But if I have any hope at all for my gun rights in CA, it comes from the Mayan calendar. Perhaps on Dec 12 of this year, the dominante political machine in California will suddenly become enlightened and I won't any longer need a permit to carry concealed in this state. Okay, it could happen because some federal judge beats them over the head with a 2x4 thereby distracting people from the fact that the Mayans predicted a huge, world-changing event.

                            But, more likely, it's aliens.

Something is going to happen on December 12 2012 that will effect us all.

It will certainly be the end of the world as we know it.
