UNSticky Righthaven warning - SOON

I think that we may very soon be able to remove the Sticky Thread warning us NOT to post content from certain newspapers represented by Righthaven:

Righthaven has been getting smacked around pretty hard lately and most recently Marc Randazza, an awesome First Amendment lawyer (you can read his lawfirm website here http://randazza.com/index.html and his and his personal blog here http://randazza.wordpress.com/ ) has won a defense judgment for his client and is seeking to enforce a judgment for attorney fees against Righthaven by having U.S. Marshall's enforce the judgment. It appears likely that Righthaven will soon be bankrupt and its business model and legal theories have already been thoroughly discredited.

Good to hear (those bullies were getting ridiculous), but let's keep in mind that we still should NOT post entire articles from any news media site.

Yes, we shouldn't do that. It is just the specific restriction of posting ANY content from those particular newspapers that had been represented by Righthave that may soon be safe to withdraw.

There should still be an explanation of fair use under the first amendment so that proper hyper links direct Internet traffic to their source rather than harming the copyright holders by posting the entire text of an article.

I am shameless about inserting photos without worrying about who owns or hosts them but that may be an issue also.

The threat is reduced due to the copyright troll going away, but they lost because they weren't legally allowed to sue, the actual copyright holder could still bring suit. Would the individual owners bother? Most likely not, but CGF/CGN should save its funding for its 2A activities and not waste any on copyright issues.
